We offer a retention bonus of $250 after 6 months of continuous employment and $500 after 1 year of continuous employment. *Applies to regular FT employees, pro-rated for part-time.

About the Programs
Orchard Home is a non-licensed, furnished transitional housing program located in Medford, OR intended to serve up to 5 Jackson Care Connect Members who need extra supports for ongoing stabilization. Orchard is perfectly suited to be a step between Springbrook Crisis Respite Center and more permanent, independent housing. Clients of Orchard Home will have a maximum stay of up to 60 days, with case-by-case consideration of extensions where needed and appropriate. Staff will be on-site during the day, 7 days a week, to ensure client stability and to provide supports as needed.

Swing Lane SH is an exciting, newly constructed housing program that provides permanent, intensive Supportive Housing, as well as transitional Room & Board units for adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness.

About the Positions
We have two Part-Time openings for the Supportive Housing Associate position at our Orchard Home and Swing Lane SH program in Medford, OR. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then this position might be a good fit for you.

This position provides a flexible range of supportive assistance services in accordance with a plan that enables individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness to maintain a residence, encourages the use of existing natural supports, and fosters involvement in social and community activities. Assistance with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene; medication administration; nutritional guidance; accessing community resources; preparing a daily schedule of appointments providing coordination of transportation; maintenance of clean, sanitary and safe living conditions; assistance with completing housing applications and move-in arrangements; and coordinating with property management team regarding reasonable accommodations and possible ADA modifications, etc. In addition, while we are an organization that does not practice seclusion or restraint, we do still require our direct care staff to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which includes performing various physical, evasion and safety maneuvers in class.

Work Schedules:

Saturday & Sunday: 8am-5pm (Day) OR

Friday 8am-Midnight (16 hours), Saturday 8am-Midnight (16 hours) to Sunday 8am (You will be required to sleep overnight at the facility from Midnight - 8am).

PREFER State of Oregon QMHA credentials are met by one of our following criteria:
a) Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;    

b) OR minimum THREE (3) YEARS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;    

c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training     

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Pay & Benefits
Starting at $15.00 per hour/DOE and QMHA credentials. ColumbiaCare offers a comprehensive benefits package for part-time employees. Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employees working 30 hours a week. All Part-Time/On-Call hourly employees receive time and a half when working a holiday and are eligible to receive up to 5 days of sick time and up to 12 days of vacation per year (accruals earned are based on hours worked).
